Happy Hollow Farm

Happy Hollow Farm is a USDA Certified Organic veggie farm located in Jamestown, Missouri. Founded and operated by Columbia-native Liz Graznak, the farm is headed into its tenth year of production and has expanded to nearly 7 acres of veggies, fruit, eggs & cut flowers. Happy Hollow offers produce through a CSA, at the Columbia Farmers Market and to a number of local restaurants and grocery stores. HHF uses a combination of highly managed cover cropping techniques, crop rotations, compost applications, hay mulch and adds small quantities of minerals and nutrients when needed. Two years ago we added enough solar panels to power 100% of the farm's energy requirements. This small farm is passionate about providing the high quality produce in a sustainable, community-minded manner!

The Veggie Patch

“The Veggie Patch is your one stop shopping needs.  From early spring through late fall and even into the winter, The Veggie Patch can provide you with all of your fruit and vegetable needs.  We raise over 50 different types of fruits and vegetables and when you add in varieties of those products, we have close to 200 different items you can choose from during a growing season. We also specialize in heirloom and specialty varieties of winter squash, pumpkins, root crops, sweet potatoes, eggplant, and more.  The Veggie Patch focuses on sustainability to maintain the health of our products, fertility of the soil, and preservation of our land for future generations.  We utilize planting strips and plant onto plastic with drip irrigation lines and grass stripping to separate our beds.  We are not certified organic, but try to utilize minimal sprays as possible. None of our berries or greens are sprayed and crop scouting is continually used to determine if or when a spray should be used. We have a total of about 4 acres in production, but utilize crop rotation and sometimes double or triple plantings during a growing season to maximize the amount of products raised.”

Sullivan Farms

“Sullivan farms is a family owned and operated farm in Fayette, Missouri. Bill and Brittany Sullivan, along with their daughter, value fresh local grown meat and produce and provide their surrounding communities with just that.

The Sullivan's raise a variety of produce ranging from delicious strawberries to garlic. They strive not only  to raise healthy hogs and goats but also happy ones.
"A higher quality of life for our animals means a higher
quality meat at your dinner table."
- Brittany Sullivan

This commitment to quality can be seen across their farming operations and in the praises of their customers.

"One of the reasons I like you all and your bacon is the quality
of your pigs and because you are a small, local operation.
However, whenever I travel, I really wish your bacon
could take over the world on a large scale..."
- Lara

Sullivan Farm's pigs are raised on fresh pasture their entire lives.
Living out on pasture means that they’re out doing what comes naturally to them: wallowing in the mud, playing in the rain, and rooting around for a snack.
All our hogs are fed NON-GMO feed, and whey. Whey is a byproduct of cheese, which is an excellent protein for our hogs, it helps marbleize the fat, giving the pork a delicious flavor.”

**No antibiotics or hormones are used in the care of our hogs.**

Stem to table farm

“Clay and Jen Stem started their farm in 2017 with the vision of supporting their community by providing fresh, locally grown microgreens and produce.  They also wanted to teach their children, Chase and Grady, that social and environmental change is possible with small scale, natural farming.   Clay and Jen have been happily married for 18 years and have two amazing boys. Chase is 16 years old and enjoys filling his free time playing soccer and beekeeping.  Grady is 14 years old and loves video games, mowing the lawn, and track/field.

We grow many varieties of microgreens.  Our core flavors are: Sunflower, Pea, Broccoli, Radish, Alfalfa, Kale and Powerhouse Mix.  We often have specialty varieties...these vary market to market.  We grow using organic methods.

We are beekeepers and sell our honey at market, when available.

We also offer our homemade, organic lip balms and fragrances.  The lip balms are made with honey from our bees. Both the lip balms and fragrances are made with local beeswax from The Boone Regional Beekeepers Association.”

Stanton Brothers Eggs

In 1999, Dustin Stanton's first grade class incubated fertile chicken eggs with the local 4-H group. At the end of the project someone would be able to take the baby chicks home. Excitedly, he entered into the drawing but as luck would have it, he lost. He told his uncle what had happened, who went out and bought him and Austin their first six chicks.

Over the years, they have grown their Boone County egg operation to now where they supply over 60 local outlets with their product. Their chickens are cage free and free range, as they are recognized by the USDA as the nation's largest independent free range egg operation. The base grain the chickens are fed is milo, which is a non-GMO grain that they raise on their family's century farm.

Dustin and Austin have always said and continue to tell their customers, "We appreciate your business!"
